We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior QHSE Center of Excellence Manager (HSE due-diligence and standardization), to join our team.

This role will be responsible for:
1) maintaining and improving our QHSE Management System,
2) delivering and assuring; environmental due-diligence, QHSE and compliance programs for APM Terminals Investment and Project Execution functions, and
3) maintain the environmental compliance program for APM Terminals.

The successful candidate will have proven experience as a senior QHSE manager including HSE due-diligence for capital investment projects and a proven track record in leading QHSE teams in a multi-national organization, as well as strong experience with stakeholder management.

The role will be reporting to the Head of Safety & Resilience APM Terminals and leads a team of QHSE Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Key Responsibilities
QHSE Management System:
  • Maintaining an efficient HSSE management system, inspired by and leveraging APM Terminals’ Ways of Working, Lean, Training Within Industry (TWI) and aligned to international best practice.
  • Establishing and maintaining HSSE policies, procedures, compliance content services, and guidelines to enable systematic HSSE compliance with applicable laws and regulations across APM Terminals both in running business and in new projects / acquisitions.
Environmental:
  • Provides subject matter expertise and oversight services to APM Terminals on environmental issues including environmental compliance issues.
  • Develops Environmental minimum requirements, global processes and critical control points to adequately meet all legislative requirements and Industry best practice.
  • Develops Environmental minimum requirements for new investments and acquisitions and arranges the evaluation of same (EIA) as well as the framework to implement any consequential actions
HSSE Capital Investment and M&A activities:
  • Develop and implement HSSE standards, processes and related activities that develop the current project execution framework to meet APMT ambition levels for health, safety, security and environment.
  • Own and continuously improve the APMT HSSE M&A and due diligence processes & tools
  • Lead and manage all HSSE matters for APMT capital investments from due diligence through integration phases or project execution and ultimately through transition to the business operational HSSE teams.
Performance Insights:
  • Provide processes to report metrics in & out ensuring on-time delivery of business and corporate reporting and ESG (Sustainability) data assurance including supporting the WoW cadence.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for
* At least 10 years of experience in HSSE roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role in a multi-national organization.
* A degree in Environmental Management, Environmental sciences, Occupational Health and Safety, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications in QHSE management systems (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor) are desirable.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing QHSE management systems in a similar role, preferably within a high-risk industry such as manufacturing, construction, or energy.
* Sound knowledge of environmental regulatory and statutory requirements (license and permits) in a project context is desirable.
* Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
* Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
