Technische Universität Darmstadt is one of Germany’s leading technical universities. Its main areas of research, teaching and transfer are engineering and natural sciences, which cooperate closely with selected humanities and social sciences. TU Darmstadt with its approximately 25,000 students is the only technical university in Hessen. It is integrated into the economi- cally strong Rhine/Main/Neckar region and has an effective international network.
