About the opportunity: We are seeking a hungry and ambitious Property & Facilities Management professional, who will take ownership of our Amsterdam site, with the view to grow your coverage to other sites in the region in line with a career development plan.
Your primary site is a key location for Sony Europe as it is our EU headquarters, and as such houses many of our senior management and leadership. The position will require you to lead from the front with a hands on approach to Property and Facilities Management, and provide managerial support to a small yet experienced team. You should be someone who can adapt to changing situations, with the ability to balance communication styles between delicate and direct where appropriate. You should also be someone who is looking to join a business where you can grow your profile within the team and organisation, build on expertise and experience, and use that to move our career forward with Sony. We expect you will need to undertake some EU travel required when things return to normal, which you will manage as per your own diary/requirements.
Your responsibilities
You will:
Provide positive leadership, guidance, direction and support to direct reports to ensure they succeed by:
Owning and managing operations together with full regional P&L responsibility
Having clear purpose, goals, strategy, KPIs/Work-Style and customer service focus
All direct reports have clear operating boundaries and are given constructive, supportive guidance together with relevant tools to deliver required tasks
Performing Training Needs Analysis and follow-up in a timely and measured fashion
Providing a positive Team environment, understanding of ways of working ensuring a supportive structure is maintained across the whole P&FM team
Support Property planning, strategy development and delivery, transaction management, project management together with longer term Landlord relationship management
Drive operational Facilities Management for your region
Develop & deliver regional property strategy in line with overall P&FM strategy
Maintain commercial management, monthly reporting on all projects and BAU with full variance analysis
Use KPI tracking and management together with other structured tools and techniques
Ensure matrix management tasks are clear, planned, actioned/delivered and recorded/presented to the appropriate audience and available for all the team to review (SharePoint)
Manage regional supplier services and Vendor Relationships as required
Your profile
You will have:
Property & Facilities Management ideally in a multi-office, “blue-chip” environment
Competent line management capabilities covering performance, development, feedback etc
Strong communication, relationship management, and presentation skills to a range of audiences.
Experience of analysis, assessment, monitoring and improving P&FM operational and financial data
Proven record of commercial property lease transactions with excellent negotiation skills
