We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for our Amstelveen office

The emphasis of this role is on quality accounting performance in a broad sense. The role forms part of the cross-country Amlin Insurance S.E. Finance Operations team.

You will be in close relationships with all areas in Tax, Finance and Business.

You will be responsible for ledger maintenance and other financial operations leading to:

• Timely, accurate and complete month end closing of actuals and supporting documentation.
• Operating effective financial and tax processes.
• Executing internal controls for the entity / entities in scope.
• Maintaining day to day accounting and tax records.

The role will have a responsibility in the following areas:

• Maintain financial controls
• Tax filing preparation and liaise with tax specialists.
• Investment accounting.
• Preparation of audit files.
• Recommend improvements to processes and procedures.

• Financial services experience required.
• Strong preference for general insurance experience.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in economics or accounting.
• Solid knowledge of (financial) accounting, processes, systems and controls.
• Strong team player / collaboration skills.          
• Technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, domestic GAAP and Tax etc).
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English and Dutch.
• Excellent Excel skills.
