You report into the Manager Enterprise Architecture in the CIO Office, which is responsible for planning, driving and setting standards and policies for the entire IM function. You will be working closely with the CIO in driving the governance and related value realization.

The role and its responsibilities
This high profile position is based at our regional shared service center in Arnhem, the Netherlands. You will meet most of your stakeholders in our new AkzoNobel Center in Amsterdam.
You will assist data and analytics leaders, and business and IM leadership in developing information governance processes and structures. You also ensure that the architecture is used to identify, prioritize and execute the data and analytic initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
In addition you aid in the analysis of data and analytics security, working with the chief information security officer to ensure that enterprise data and analytics assets are treated as a protected asset.
At all times you support the improvement of end-to-end business performance through information solutions and capabilities such as master- and meta-data management analytics, content management, data integration, and related information management or information infrastructure components.
All of this demands the ability to persuade business and functional stakeholders through dialogue and inspiration rather than direct authority. It also demands a high level of Big Picture Thinking as you understand the enterprise-wide implications of day-to-day decisions.
To apply for this position you must possess all the following attributes:
- Master’s degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field; or an HBO qualification allied to relevant experience;
- Around 10 years of experience in the IT sector including multiple years of experience in an (information) architecture role;
- TOGAF certified or equivalent, knowledge of SAP architectures, and experienced with E(I)A tools and information and data modeling;
- Knowledge of transactional systems within a manufacturing/process industry environment;
- Able to interact with senior management;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including fluent written and spoken English.
