7,000 people, one global focus - enhancing the health and well-being of pets, people, and livestock. We are passionate about what we do at IDEXX – and why wouldn’t we be? When you’re working to raise the standard of care for pets, make drinking water safe for billions and keep our livestock population around the globe healthy and free of disease, it’s no wonder that what we do each day is more than just a job. There’s an energy across IDEXX that is contagious – where caring and committed people come together to make things better.
Do you have a natural affinity for (bio) technology? Are you service minded? Then we are looking for you!
Seeking all problem solvers….
You come to the office in the morning, a vet is calling YOU. He has to do a surgery on Fluffy the cat and it requires preliminary testing. The instruments (equipment) measuring the time of coagulation, isn’t responding as expected! What are you going to do? You need to investigate!
Technical Product Support at IDEXX requires the curious mind. We are an entirely customer centric company. We have cutting edge technology (diagnostic equipment), however we don’t just sell to the veterinarians. We want to be there for them to ensure that their interaction with our products is a seamless one. And it’s not just about troubleshooting biotech equipment (hematology & biochemistry), although you will do that too. We want you to think with our customers. We want you to be able to raise your hand and highlight ways in which to improve what we do, as well as pro-actively detect trends which could result is issues before they become an issue. You will also be highly engaged in customer education & training, giving veterinarians an understanding of WHY they should use certain products and HOW they can best work with them. There’s routine in the role (like in any), but there is much more beyond that. Your customers will challenge you and you will need to remain cool under pressure and with your inspiration, or the assistance of your peers, you will always find a solution.
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this role there are a couple of mandatory elements. You must be customer oriented. You need to speak fluent English , and have perfect Nordics language skills , or have business fluency (with a preference for Norwegian and Swedish speakers). You will need to understand how the world of biotech equipment works. You could also be a bit techy – it will help.
You will need to demonstrate high quality inter-personal skills, well-developed verbal and written communication skills, and excellent phone skills with ability to establish rapport. You should be able to pay attention to detail. Computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Windows based systems will be required. You will be working in a fast paced business environment, therefore we would like to see your ability, willingness and motivation to learn new industry changes based on new science or discoveries and be adaptive to changes and be able to follow processes.
And then there are other elements which we would like to see. We are looking for smart, agile, creative people, who also can anchor these traits with a high degree of accuracy and an analytical mindset. Things are changing at such a rapid pace at IDEXX. We are an ambitious company with a strong commitment to grow. So you will need to understand that this requires a degree of flexibility on your side, to take on new challenges, to think outside of the box and to be stretched beyond your comfort zone. What this means for you however, is that you will be growing as we grow. Last but not least, we look for a level of maturity which can manage this work load and empathic people with a sense of humor.
