As Channel Manager, you will be part of the Sales and Marketing Organisation, reporting to the Marketing Manager Benelux. A Trade Segment Analyst will be reporting to you.
Your main responsibilities include, among others, developing and delivering the strategy and plans for Imperial’s trade segments (channels), providing strategic direction for every segment, and establishing the target accounts, outlets and consumers within each trade segment. Apart from those, you will determine the relevant initiatives and allocate the investment and resources to deliver the plan.
The position is based either in Oosterhout (NL) or in Mechelen (BE). It involves travelling - approx. 1-2 days a week - to the other office.
You will develop the Trade Segment/Channel strategies, based on in-depth knowledge and analyses of trade segment, brands and customer trends. You will determine key focus and opportunities for every segment and ensure that Trade Segment Strategy is fully aligned with the portfolio and brand objectives and the customer engagement objectives.
You will define annual objectives and targets for the segments, based on historical analysis, performance and KPIs. In addition you will establish guidelines & investment directions and deliver ROI analyses and heatmap performance and recommendation.
As part of the Trade Segment team, you will deliver segment and account ranging as well as key account priorization. Furthermore, you will optimise core range, define the strategic portfolio ranking and set distribution objectives for Imperial Tobacco’s portfolio per segment.
You will work very closely together with the Sales teams and provide them with strong analyses and recommendations. You will offer channel and category expertise and provide shelf philosophy guidelines.
You will be responsible of managing and developing the Trade Segment Analyst.
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Commerce, Marketing, Sales, or Business administration, and you have at least 5 years of relevant sales / trade marketing / channel marketing experience, preferably within FMCG. Apart from having strong leadership skills, you are highly engaging and energising. You have great analytical skills and are a strategic thinker. You are able to translate insights into commercial opportunities. You are strong in stakeholder management, capable of convincing others and enjoy working as part of teams. We are looking for a positive mind-set, a ‘work together, win together’ mentality. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
