Accounting intern

Are you looking for an internship where you will be exposed to a broad accounting scope? Then the Accounting internship might be something for you!

During your internship within IDEXX you will be working with SAP ERP accounting system, following US GAAP in practice as well as some local GAAP for 34 different entities. You will make IDEXX adhere to VAT and INTRASTAT regulations. Together with peers in the team, auditors and the other finance departments you will make sure the general ledger is correct. If this doesn’t challenge you enough, there will be opportunities to be involved in other tasks and projects in line with your own skills, interests and aspirations. After this internship, you will have learned the fundamentals in accounting processes and its extended requirements. This ambitious team is looking for an intern that is curious, always looks beyond the task and is eager to learn. Someone who is assertive, takes initiative and is able to work independently.  Are you a student in a Finance related study and do you recognize yourself in the above? Then we might be looking for you!  As you’ll be working in an international environment, good intercultural communication skills are a necessity. Being fluent in English is a requirement, other languages are a plus. Being organized, accurate and good with Excel will help you in your daily activities. We are looking for someone who is willing to improve not only our processes but also themselves.

Some practicalities: We are aiming for a start around February. It would be great if you could start earlier and stay for a minimum of 6 months. Our office is located in Hoofddorp next to the train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). We offer you an allowance of 400 euros, a fair share of responsibility, and the chance to be part of a great team.
