The Technical Department is the center of expertise for Manufacturing at the Bergen op Zoom site of SABIC Innovative Plastics. It delivers expert knowledge to the chemical and compounding plants. The organization of the Technical Department is split in three groups: Process Automation, Project Engineering and Process Engineering. The people of Process Engineering are involved in projects such as improving cost efficiency, producing new products, simplifying logistic processes and meeting higher quality. Projects are multi-disciplinary by nature and interface with other departments such as Technology, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance on an as-needed basis.
Solutions to the real world problems in our plants require face to face contact with the people in the plants. You will need to interact a lot with people with different back-grounds to collect information. Next to that you will have to be able to translate complexity into simple concepts, a clear problem analysis and solid solution. In order to be able to do that you need to have excellent interpersonal skills and excellent engineering skills.
Your Profile
We are looking for Bachelor or Master students in Chemical, Energy or Mechanical Engineering who are interested in working in the polymer industry. You have high energy, show initiative and have strong interpersonal skills. You know how to combine your engineering skills with information from various sources into a solution for a real world problem. Proficiency in English is something we expect, and speaking Dutch is highly preferred. Qualified applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands.
